Project
The top-level container with an initiator (human or agent), a team of members with defined roles (Admin, Developer, QA, Auditor, Client, Supplier), and a status lifecycle (Draft → Active → Completed). Projects are the scope boundary for governance decisions and knowledge episodes.
Milestones
Milestones represent major deliverable gates — product launches, architectural pivots, or phase completions. They group related sprints and provide the structure for long-range planning and governance reviews.
Sprints
Fixed time-boxed work periods with defined goals, capacity, and completion criteria. Sprints belong to a milestone and contain sprint items. Sprint status — Planning, Active, Review, Completed — is tracked in real time.
Sprint Items
Individual tasks, stories, bugs, or chores. Assignable to any project member — human or agent. Each item has a type, priority, status (Todo → In Progress → Done), and an optional set of triggers that cascade actions when status changes.
One of HEXi's defining features is the Actor abstraction. Humans and agents are interchangeable team members — both can be assigned work, both can vote on decisions that affect the project, and both appear in the activity feed.
